Panshu Ceramics are made to excite your senses with a richness of color, design and form that is inspired by nature. We loved creating these pieces of superior craftsmanship that are a wonderful contrast to typical tableware.
We designed this collection to embody the joy of inviting nature into your home, of sharing food and conversation, and the laughter and lightness of good times spent in the company of friends and family.
With Panshu Ceramics we want to share our love for craftsmanship and sustainable lifestyle with people who care. We want to inspire people to create memories and to live in an environment which reflects their love for life and the natural world.
In rural villages throughout Asia clay pots, plates and bowls are often made using simple methods and limited tools. Sometimes original forms are made in clay, formed over stones and pebbles and this technique inspired our approach.
Once we identified our favorite shapes, plaster moulds were made in all the different forms we wanted to include in the range. We made certain to retain the bumps and imprints left by the maker’s fingers in the damp clay used for the very first pieces.
After the clay hardens the body can be removed from the mould for the first hand finishing. The first fired ‘bisque’ is hand-dipped in our glaze and dried in preparation to add the subtle speckle texture, delicately applied by hand to give each piece its unique textured finish.

The complete range of Panshu Ceramics encompasses three colorways - Coral Reef, Temple Clay and Safari Sands - each defined from the natural landscape of Sri Lanka. The high temperature fired stoneware body is tough enough for regular use and is dishwasher, oven, freezer and microwave safe. The composition of our products has been tested by SGS, the world’s leading inspection and certification company, for quality, safety and performance against international health, safety and regulatory standards. Panshu Ceramics are proudly produced under ISO9001 certification.
The amber-tinted glow of dusk in the wilderness is a striking backdrop. Trees become shadows enchanted by the wildlife within their branches. Walking barefoot at dusk along the barren beaches of Yala one can feel the vibrations of nature.
Warm ripples of seafoam welcome you into the Indian Ocean all along the Sri Lankan coastline. Venture in a little and the cool waters deepen to reveal colour and character; the coral reefs glimmer with fish darting between their fingers which are as rich in hues as they are in shape.
The early morning sun washes the white walls of Sri Lanka's temples and Stupas with a warm liquid brilliance, casting pits of light and shade across the bumpy surface of the clay that has been applied by hand to the sinuous walls surrounding these holy buildings.
Crafted with an organic shape, our pinch bowl serves chutneys, warm nibbles or a perfect tasty canape at just the right scale. Alternatively the miniature size is ideal for salt and pepper.
